Hi,
I am not sure if the title conveys what I need done.
Is there away to automatically create a step by step guide of a workflow for someone who doesn't have access to Alteryx? What I mean by this is in the event that I lose access, I want to be able to follow a set of step by step instructions to generate the same output in Excel and do the work manually. I hope this makes sense. As it stands, the only option I know how is to type instructions manually for instance, for a simple WF, Inut Tool>FIlter>FOrmula>Output, I would say
Open XXX File
Filter Coulmn 2 for ABC
SUM(Colum,n 12)
Save File
The only thing I can think of is using Annotation and Comment tools around your workflow, then include pictures of the workflow in the work instructions. Like filter all this, use this equation/formula, etc.

One useful way it to set a Teams Invite or whatever system you are using. And then record and share your screen and walk through the process explaining what to do while you presenting it. You can show the different parts of the automation or even do it manually in excel.
Normally what I do before that I'm starting any automation I have a call with the SME or someone that knows the process well and go with them through the process step by step and recording this call for future reference.
So before that I'm starting developing I have that type of manual that you referring to.
