Counting cells with text

Hello, I am new to Alteryx and so far am really enjoying the program. I currently have a project for school where I need to interpret some data. I was wondering if there is a way I can easily count the number of values in a column (from excel) that aren't numerical. For example the column contains 3 different text values say "P, C, and N" I want to know how many of each P each C and each N and then compare them to the total for percentage evaluation. Is there a way to do that?
