Hi team, I hope all is well.
I've been working on a variance report for over a month now and I cant seem to place all of the memo codes and deduction codes onto one line with the correlating amount to the right side. Essentially, I need to review two reports from different dates and identify if there's a gross change. If there's a gross change, I need to know what memo code and deduction codes are correlated with said change. Attached is example 1 which is the current format and example 2 which is the format I think will work. The attached screenshot is of a workflow where I tried to work around my current problem but ultimately ended up burning in flames so hot I had to take a leave of absence.
In my most recent attempt, I decided to merge memo codes and and deduction codes into one column thinking I could use the cross tab tool after the last select tool but that also did not seem to do it.
Hi @jalizmaldonado ,
It's hard to tell a way to help you based on the screenshots you have provided (particularly in the second one it's quite hard to understand what the desires output actually is).
Any chance you can provide some a more representative sample of the data or what you want to achieve? I'm sure people in this community will find it easier to help you in this way.
Cheers,
Angelos
Hi @jalizmaldonado ,
Give the following workflow a try, I think it manages to bring your input into that single row format.
The field names unfortunately cannot be the same in Alteryx, so I have used an identifier (ID) at the front.
Let me know if that worked for you.
Cheers,
Angelos
Any update on that @jalizmaldonado ?
