Dear All,
We have a problem on importing an excel file into Alteryx.
We had the "Access 32-bit 2010 driver" already installed on the machine.
Still, when we reading into one of hIt says "External table is not in the expected format".
We checked on the file, which is in Excel 2 worksheets and in protected view.
Is that Excel 2 worksheets is not a compatible format for Alteryx to read in?
Or any other workaround could be used to open this up?
Thanks much in advance
Good Day @Thableaus
Sorry that I missed this information.
We are importing it as the .xls file into Alteryx, which we think the Access Database message is prompted.
Yet, we are not sure why it cannot be read.
Cheers,
Bevan
Hi @bevankwong ,
is there any chance you can provide us with the Excel file so we can try it?
Please remove any sensitive data.
M.
Hi @mceleavey
Unfortunately we cannot make it out for further test, so we cannot provide it out.
But is there any knowledge on version of Excel that cannot support by Alteryx / JET engine?
Cheers,
Bevan
are you getting the error when you try to select a range or when you simply try to import the sheet?
Dear @mceleavey I am basically just adding the file in, and the prompt is showing like that.....
