Can not connect to Tableau Server

Question

I am unable to connect to tableau server in the "Publish to tableau server" tool.

I have passed username, password, full server URL and site but when I click on connect button, it is not giving any output or showing any message at all.

When running the workflow, I am getting error as following:

"Enter new or select existing data source name. Select an existing project"

It looks like your server URL has a bit more than it needs. Can you delete everything after the tableau.com portion of the URL for the Server URL box?

Your Site box will need the full site specified, however, as you can see in the instructions here: https://help.alteryx.com/current/designer/publish-tableau-server-tool

After you enter the information required and hit the connect button, it will take you to a second page where you specify the data source that will be written as well as whether you want to create/overwrite/append.
