I have tried to calculate the total of due payment amount of in next 12 months, which I have tried to calculate the through Multi-row Formula but it's lengthy. Can somebody help me to do it in a shorter way ?
Hi Apathetichell,
Thanks for your efforts. I want the total of due amount of next 12 months in each row, irrespective of the number in Months
column
I hope the query is more clear to you, this time.
Thanks!!
What do you mean irrespective of number in months column - You need an index in the months column - whether that's date or number you have to have a value there and a computation methodology based upon the index. in your case it isn't trailing 12 months - it's future 12 months - so that's easy enough to fix in the batch macro... see attached - only thing that changes is the batch macro filter.
Hi @Kamran1991,
I think that your multi-row formula is pretty short and clean. Nonetheless, please see my suggested alternative using Generate Rows formula.
If the number of rolling months start to get larger or change frequently, I would then feel that Generate Rows will be better.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Lelia
@Kamran1991my second post matches your output - are there situations where the two diverge?
