CSV File Encoding

Hello All, I have a csv file that opens in Excel with the error "file and format don't match", but I can see the data clearly. When I open it in Notepad or Notepad++ there are a lot of weird characters and I see the encoding is ANSI. I am trying to import it to Alteryx but haven't succeeded so far. If I manually convert it to xls it works fine, but I don't want the end user to have to convert any files. Any ideas would be welcome, thanks :)

Hi

When you're importing the file, are you changing the 'Code Page' option on the Input Data Tool to one of the ANSI choices?

Hi David,

Yes, I have tried all options but none of them are readable. When using ANSI-Central Europe I can see the data but among the weird characters.

Are you able to share the file for us to look at, even just a sample part of it if possible?

Unfortunately I can't share the file but this is a sample of what shows up in Notepad, not sure if it's helpful
