BigQuery User Authentication Issues

Our users that upgraded from 2020.2.3 to 2021.x appear to have an issue now with connecting to BigQuery using the End user Oauth connection. 

 

They can enter the client ID & Secret, and the pop-up window to authenticate with Google comes up. They complete that, and the screen says to switch back to the application, but Alteryx Designer does not change to reflect that they are authenticated.

 

Those still working in 2020 designer, and workflows created in 2020 still work. But since the upgrade the Oauth token does not seem to refresh the Designer interface.

Did you get this working? I use the ODBC BQ driver and authenticate in the driver as end user. I cannot use the specific BQ input connector in Alteryx (which requires service account authentication?) but I can set up a generic ODBC connector to BQ and access that way.
