App with Tableau Server Macro inside: merge the 2 config interface

Hi everybody!

Is there a quick way to "replicate" the configuration interface/panel of a macro in the configuration panel/interface of an app?

I'm building an APP that ends with the macro to publish the outputs directly on tableau server.

So I basically have the configuration panel/interface of my app (Browse files, directories, check box....) AND I also need the final user to be able to config the macro with the data of his tableau server.

I guess I could use the interface tools and connect them to the macro, as if it where a normal tool. But the tableau server macro is enormous! I have to use tons of tools and actions.

Is there a quick(er) way to somehow merge the 2 configuration interfaces?

Hi @Federica_FF,

Unfortunately, there is no way to transfer the UI from the Tableau macro to the UI of your app. You would need to set up a Question/Action interface for each piece of the Tableau macro you want the user to be able to update from the interface of your app.
