Analytic Application - Renaming using select tools

Hello all,

I'm currently working on a project that involves cleaning, standardization, etc. through an Alteryx Application. I have various chained apps linked together and one of the processes I wanted to add in is a customizable rename through the select. The goal is if someone wants to rename a field, they will check the box and the tool will become available to them. They can use the dropdown to select which field they would like to choose and then the user can enter text in the text box which updates the rename for that selected field. I got it to work for one particular file but it fails and updates nothing when used on other files. I have also attempted to use the dynamic rename but I believe this process would be more ideal, better for the end user, and far more customizable for field names. Attached are the whole workflow, drop down set up, and text box set up.

Hey @leosgrossman @PhilipMannering  I have a similar requirement for multiple columns to rename. I am little confused on how to use this for 2 or more columns. I see solution provided is only for one column. Please provide the solution for multiple columns, It would be of great help.
