Hi @IsaacMcDermott ,
You should ask your license administrator of your organization to deactivate your license key associated with the previous machine.
He/she should be able to deactivate your license key (revoke your seat) on the license portal site http://licenses.alteryx.com/ .
Once it is deactivated, you should be able to activate your new machine with your license key.
I hope it helps. Good luck.
Who would be my license administrator? I am a student, so would that be my university, my professor, or someone else?
Thanks.
It all depends on your organization (university).
You may want to check your course syllabus to find the contact point for the technical issue or ask your professor.
There is a chance that you have control over your own license. Login to the licensing portal https://us1.alteryxcloud.com/license-portal/ and in the top left of the screen choose "Licenses" (next to "Home"). At the end of the row with your license number there are 3 vertical dots where you can choose "View Seats." If you got this far then you should see your old machine there and a button to "Revoke" the license. Once that is complete you can use the license with your new laptop.
