Action Date tool value in the data stream

Hello all.  Probably is an obvious answer that I'm missing, but is there a way to pull in the From-Date and To-Date into the data stream so I can append it to the output file name?

You need to connect it into something and the replace whatever you want with the dates you are entering using the action tool.

great to hear! Honestly - the entire app building process (especially with dates) seems more daunting then it really is. The hardest part about that specific challenge (for me) was remembering where on the detour to place the formula.

Check out the interaction where the action tool updates the value and note the syntax on that - it's really key to getting the interface tool palette to work.
