Hi all,
I have a workflow I am trying to put together but I am looking for a place to start, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Basically, I have a region with spatial points spread across it. I want to create a 4x4 grid, with the size of each grid corresponding to a similar amount of points in each grid. So one area could have an extremely small grid square, but a high concentration of points in a small area. Another could be larger with points more spread out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I think you might benefit from a macro I wrote for Inspire 2019. I called it Fractal Grids as it creates 'seed' grids and then splits each grid into four that exceeds a threshold count of objects it contains.
The macro location on the public gallery is here.
Thank you for both this and the previous ArcGIS rest connector. I will be testing both and I will get back to you! But this is awesome that we have such a great community like this. Would you be able to break down the Fractal grid inputs for further clarification?
