We’re celebrating another year full of analytics best practices, career insights, Alteryx use cases, personal stories, AI chatter, and more on the Alter Everything Podcast!

We started the year by releasing our 150th episode, and by the end, we had listeners from 105 countries! As we reflect on the past year of Alter-ing Everything, we’d love to share our top episodes and personal favorites with you.

Top Episode of 2024

Wayne McClure (@GoldenDesign04) walked us through how Alteryx strategically fits into the modern data pipeline at Neilsen. Listeners were curious about how Alteryx could fit into their tech stack and handle massive amounts of data (petabytes!). This was the most listened-to episode of 2024.

Hot New Episode

Luke Cornetta (@Luke_C) joined us to move past the AI buzz and talk about how he’s currently using Generative AI with Alteryx for ERP implementations and more. We received a lot of positive feedback about this one, so check it out if you haven’t already!

Longest Watch Time on YouTube

Our Community Voices Episode (featuring co-hosts @NicoleJ and @JoshuaB) differed from our usual format. You all enjoyed the new style, as this episode had the longest total watch time on YouTube: 62.1 hours!

Matt’s Favorite Episode

“Absolutely no bias here, but my favorite episode was when I interviewed Benett Montrose about his internship at Fender and how much he was able to change and optimize in his short time there. Taking existing procedures and simplifying them with the Alteryx platform is something I can always get behind. As a recent grad myself, it was nice talking with Benett about networking opportunities and his college experience. I especially liked how he talked about switching majors after not considering ever doing that when he learned how much he liked working with numbers.” - @AlteryxMatt, Associate Engagement Engineer

Megan’s Favorite Episode

“I have a lot of favorite episodes, but I especially enjoyed this episode about Bias in AI, featuring @CMcClellan_DEI and @MonicaC. They both brought many interesting examples of how unconscious bias can have major effects on the results of models and how important it is to understand any historical bias in the data we use to train them. I hope listeners take their advice on having diverse teams build and test AI to work toward unbiased AI products and features.” @MeganBowers, Alter Everything Host

Mike’s Favorite Episode

“In a year of incredible guests and topics, one standout episode really took me by surprise: Episode 161 - all about Data Governance and data breaches. Our guest,  Brian Vallelunga, made what sounds on the surface like a dry and technical topic, accessible and really interesting. At Alteryx we see our customers all at various stages making the transition to cloud data work streams. Accessing that data and understanding the complex infrastructure happening behind the scenes is essential. As is the balance between democratizing data and securing data. Brian finishes with some very practical tips for individuals that I think our audience will find useful!” @mikecusic, Alter Everything Audio Engineer

Thank you to all our listeners who tuned in this year! If you’re a fan of the show, we’d love it if you could leave us a rating or review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

Additionally, if there are topics you’d like to hear more episodes on, let us know in the comments below.

Cheers to more great episodes in 2025!
