Hello everyone! I'm the new Program Manager for the community platform (intro post) and I'm excited to share the September release notes with you.
Stars to Likes
In the pursuit of going global, and based on feedback from our international clients, we're moving the "Kudos" feature from "stars" to "likes". This means a UI change of the stars icon being removed and replaced with a thumbs up icon. The text syntax will also change from "star/stars/starred" to "like/likes/liked".
Give it a test by liking this post!
Community Hub
We've moved all things specific to the Alteryx community (not Alteryx products) to it's own item in the navigation. This will now contain the Community Lounge, Community Ideas, and Community Resources.
On that note -we're working on improving the overall process of assisting both new community users and new Alteryx users find what they need. If you have any feedback to share on what worked, or what has been confusing, we'd love to hear out. Also be on the lookout for some polls in the future (hint: a new feature that we will enable in our October release) where we'll look to gather feedback on this and other topics!
Interactive Lessons - Full Screen Mode
The interactive lessons can now be viewed in full screen mode by clicking the top right of the lesson. You'll notice you can toggle back as well in the same location.
Localization Update
As we continue to expand globally, one small change we've made is to The Terms of Service and Community Guidelines in the footer. They both now link to localized versions of those articles when you're in the respective languages.
Carousel Updates
The landing page carousel is now ordered by topic/article post date instead of last comment to keep new content fresh and easy to locate!
Added the "read more" link to all content types in the carousel
Additional Improvements + Bug Fixes
Removed the statistics underneath product lines to allow for larger product icons and ease of navigation
Addressed issue in IE where the "Back to Top" button was not working or showing up twice for some users
Resolved an issue with the timestamp bleeding out of the cards in the Use Case category
Fixed an issue with the mobile navigation where the green highlight feature was not extending across the appropriate node
Feedback
Please keep the feedback coming by submitting a community-related idea!
Cheers,
Trey
