Over the past few years, we have witnessed big changes in the use of analytics in organizations. Previously, users have been severely limited to old ways of thinking and by legacy tools that required IT and data scientists to spend weeks or months coding and developing applications to provide business insights.

 

To address those limitations, organizations have started using a new generation of analytics tools that are aimed at business users – tools that are easy to use and quickly deliver real business insights. In recognition of this new approach to analytics, Gartner has published the inaugural Magic Quadrant for Advanced Analytics Platforms. The creation of the Advanced Analytics Magic Quadrant reflects a change in thinking on how and where analytics can be created and also in the technology available to create relevant analytics rapidly. We see that the new Magic Quadrant is recognizing the shift to the line-of-business user, who requires faster and easier access to sophisticated insights from any source or combination of data - using spatial and predictive analytics.

 

Alteryx has been leading this change in the use of analytics by combining data blending and advanced analytics in a single intuitive workflow with drag-and-drop tools. We believe this has led us to be positioned as a Visionary in the 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Advanced Analytics Platforms!

 

We feel that our position in the Magic Quadrant also stems from the value that customers such as Experian, Walmart, Dunkin' Brands, Kaiser Permanente and Time Warner Cable derive from Alteryx. In the past year these customers, and many others like them, have taken advantage of our innovative approach to data blending and advanced analytics. We provide organizations and their data analysts the ability to answer critical business questions with minimal IT involvement.
