I do not agree with the solution where you using a duplicate removal tool to remove a customer from 2.2

Since there is no detains of transactions for the customer how can we say that annual transaction of $100 is the duplicate? I customer could have done multiple transactions in the same store at different intervals. 

I used the summarize tool to roll-up all the user transactions and then used a join tool to find the desired output.
