Email Settings

The Email Settings allow you to turn on or off all emails from the Community. This is your master switch to stop all communication coming from the Community.

Personal Information

You can tell other community members as much or as little about yourself as you want. You can enter a short biography, your location, your interests, or anything else (within community guidelines, of course).
To tell other community members about yourself:

  1. Sign in to your community account.
  2. Go to My Settings >  Personal Information.
  3. Enter information about yourself in the Biography field. You can also enter your name, location, company info, and any other information you want to share.
  4. Click Save.

Note: Don’t forget to introduce yourself to the Community in the Introduce Yourself Board

Close Account

Here is where you can close your Community account.

When account/PII deletion is initiated, your profile is permanently anonymized, and any content you contributed is attributed to an Anonymous User. As a result of the anonymization of data, Academy progress tracking and previously earned Alteryx technical certifications will be forfeited. The Anonymous User has a standard username and a default avatar to distinguish the profile from other members. The deleted data includes only the PII of the user, while the user's contributions (posts, comments, likes, and so on) will be maintained as and associated with an anonymous user.

If you happen to accidentally close your account, please notify Community@alteryx.com within 24 hours if you wish to reinstate your account and all progress associated.

TWITTER INTEGRATION

You can link your community profile to your Twitter account. This lets you tweet about great content you find in the community and reply to tweets without switching to Twitter.

What is RSS and how do I use it?

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." It is a way for you to get the latest content from this community, along with many other sites that you visit, all in one place. With an RSS feed reader, you subscribe to web sites, and those sites feed you new content so you can stay up to date.
To use RSS, you need a feed reader, such as Google Reader, MyYahoo, or the Live Bookmarks feature of Firefox. There are many free options. After you have your feed reader set up, you can find RSS feeds in the community by going to a board, blog, thread, or message and selecting Subscribe to RSS Feed from the options menu. There you will see a preview of the feed. Most RSS readers give you a button to click at this point. After you click it, the RSS feed appears in your reader as well as new content from that section of the community whenever it becomes available.

Notification Settings

From here you can customize what kind of notifications you receive from the Community. You can use these settings to pick and choose what you are notified about, and the frequency of those notifications.
