One of the most popular features of Inspire has always been the complimentary product training we offer. Many attendees cite these classes as the reason they were able to accelerate their productivity, and this is especially true for new users of Alteryx.

inspire 2015This year we've significantly expanded our training options for attendees of Inspire 2015, coming up May 17-20 in Boston. Classrooms are much larger to accommodate more users, but more importantly we've acted on feedback from previous Inspire conferences and developed three tiers of courses so attendees can match the course content to their skill level.

In this blog I'll focus on classes we're offering for new users, and in subsequent blogs I'll cover courses for intermediate and advanced users. If you want to find out when classes are offered, please visit the Agenda page for Inspire 2015.

This introductory session will provide new users with the basics of Alteryx workflow creation. The session will focus on the most commonly used tools to perform analysis on sales performance. Tools used in the session will include: Input, Join, Formula, Filter, Summarize, and Output.

In this session we will review basic functionality to reshape your data for analytics. Tools used in the session will include: Text to Columns (delimiter), Formula and Join.

See how to add a "where" component to your analysis. This session will focus on the spatial toolsets to perform geocoding operations, spatial matching and drivetime analytics. Tools used in this session will include: CASS, Street Geocoder, Distance, Spatial Match and Trade Area.

If you are a new user, or an infrequent Alteryx user who wants to get a solid foundation of understanding of the latest capabilities, you won't want to miss these classes. Space is filling quickly so if you haven't registered for Inspire 2015, I urge you to do so now before classes sell out.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of this blog series for details on classes for intermediate users.
