There are so many things to be excited about at Inspire 2017— keynotes, data geeks, swag, the Solutions Center, and... training! Training is proud to be a large piece of why many people will attend Inspire. In fact, ~70% of people who register for Inspire have also signed up to participate in training! There is currently nowhere in the world that has public classroom training delivered by Alteryx associates aside from this event. Knowing that it's many people's chance to dive into Alteryx with staff on-hand, we take our training seriously — but not too seriously!

This year, we set out to accommodate more topics. Just as a comparison, last year we delivered 12 topics. This year, we have slated 26 topics! We wanted to build enough courses to present you with a problem: "How can I get all I want all in such little time?" Luckily, we didn't just list 26 topics. We developed four distinct learning paths to guide your Inspire experience: Beginning Designer User, Intermediate Designer User, Advanced Analytics, and Server Administration. As a bonus, we scheduled the classes in a way so each time slot is occupied by a course in your training path, so you will always have something available!

This year, we return the deep-dive sessions on Monday. Sign up for a class and spend the day getting your Inspire started right. If there is a day NOT to miss, it's Monday! On Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be serving up à la carte knowledge in short two-hour sessions. In these sessions, quickly dive into a specific topic and try your hand with your new-found knowledge!

If you are completely new to Inspire, check out the Product Training schedule.

Training Tips:

  1. Bring your enthusiasm to learn.
  2. Bring your laptop.
  3. Sit in the front of the class.
  4. Ask your questions (at least write them down):  "Learning is not a spectator sport."
  5. Provide feedback “There is no failure.  Only feedback.”
  6. Take note as to how you can practice your new knowledge on work assignments when you leave Inspire:  “The next best thing to knowing something is knowing where to find it.”
  7. Exchange aha! moments with other attendees.
  8. Follow-up with questions at the Solution Center.
  9. Stay hydrated.
  10. Share your knowledge with others:  "Teaching others is the best way to learn."

are we expected to bring our own computers, or are they provided? I only have a client computer with Alteryx loaded and definitely would not feel comfortable bringing it.
