Inspire 2016Welcome to Part 2 of the Alteryx Inspire 2016 Technology Track blog! If you didn’t get a chance to read Part 1, take a quick minute to catch up about some of the other Technology Track sessions we’re offering at Alteryx Inspire 2016, and then read on to see what else we’re offering this year.

One session you’ll definitely not want to miss is the Alteryx Product Roadmap session with Laura Sellers, our VP of Product Management, who will be sharing what’s to come:

  • Alteryx Product Update and Roadmap - Be among the first to hear what's in store for the next release of Alteryx Analytics. Learn how Alteryx plans to make it even easier for you to uncover deeper business insights.

Data blending is a critical component in achieving self-service data analytics, and this year we’ve created two sessions that incorporate your feedback and requests from previous Inspire conferences:

  • Data Blending Best Practices & Developments - Hear best practice solutions for three main components of data blending: handling data sources, building efficient workflows, and conducting data exploration. Learn how to optimize each of these components within Alteryx and avoid data analysis errors.
  • In-Database Blending & Analytics for Scale - In this session you will learn about the in-database tools: what they are, in what context you'll want to use them and how they work, and how they can help you take advantage of the ever increasing volume of data.

Important data is increasingly coming from cloud and web sources, yet accessing them to build insights can be challenging without the right know how. If you’re looking for tips on how to connect to or access nontraditional data sources, then these two sessions are for you:

  • How to Process and Visualize Data in the Cloud - This session will cover popular use cases drawn from data analysts and IT users. We will demo several cloud connectors (Adobe Analytics, Google Sheets, Salesforce, etc.) and showcase new integration capabilities with Tableau and Microsoft.
  • REST APIs and Alteryx for Online Data and Metrics - Take your data blending to the next level by incorporating data from the web using the Download Tool in Alteryx. This session will include tips and tricks on how to get started connecting to a variety of data sources and using them in your workflow to develop new insights.

Insights are only as good as the data used to build them, and working with data that can’t provide you a complete 360 degree view may leave insight gaps. These two sessions are designed to help you understand how third party data can supplement your existing internal data to provide you with new and deeper insights:

  • Amend Information Gaps with Market & Demographic Data - Discover how demographic, firmographic, household, and segmentation data combined with Alteryx can augment your analytic insights. Hear use cases and learn about combining internal data with third-party data to deliver a comprehensive analytic view.
  • Location and Spatial Analytic Intelligence: Adding Another Level to Your Insights - Most data has some aspect of location information to give it relevance. Learn how to use the spatial elements in your data to uncover trends, patterns and relationships that aren't obvious in databases and spreadsheets.

The theme for this year’s Inspire is i.am.analytics, and the lineup for the technology track is designed to help you be analytics. The Alteryx Technology Track at Inspire 2016 is offering more sessions than ever before and they are filling up fast.
