UNC Path is not accessible through http://localhost/gallery/#!collections

Hi,

I am facing issue while accessing the UNC path from gallery. It gives me error like "cannot access the folder \\NetworkUNC\Myfolder\".

I have created sample workflow where i used two tools input and output. Where input data saved to Output UNC path ( for example  "\\NetworkUNC\Myfolder\". It is working perfectly fine through designer on server.

But same if i deploy on gallery and run using http://localhost/gallery/#!collections it gives me cannot access the folder error.

So my no one network path is working from gallery but same works in designer.

Could you please help me what is the exactly issue is.

Also note that i have not set up any "Run as" account.

I want run it directly from localhost alteryx gallery. I have added my generic account username details in Alteryx System Setting -> Gallery -> Authentication -> UserName (In Default Gallery Administration)

Please help me with the solution.

Please note i don't want use Run As different user option or any service account in 

Alteryx System Setting -> Worker -> Run As-> UserName (In Default Gallery Administration)

Because my generic account server already have network drive access and same i want to access from gallery as well which is currently not happen.

Hi @alt_tush 

If I were you I'd test using a different Run As account. Just as quick test. It seems a classic problem of permissions.

The generic Local System Account that runs the Alteryx Service has very limited permissions and rights, it is highly recommended that you set up a Run As account.
