Any idea why an Artisan would see this error when trying to schedule his/her own workflow?
("The owner of this schedule does not have access to the workflow being scheduled")
All,
Just as an FYI - we've been able to determine that the majority of our issues related to scheduling in Gallery are being caused by the fact that we changed our authentication type from Built-in to Integrated Windows authentication. Alteryx has been pretty adamant about insisting that the authentication type NOT be changed after installing, as it can (and will) cause significant issues. Essentially, it corrupts the key associations in the MongoDB, from what I understand.
If you have changed authentication types, the only true fixes are either of:
Create a new MongoDB
Note: This is the equivalent of wiping everything from your MongoDB including published content, all of your existing schedules, users, etc.
The second option is to simply uninstall your entire Server/Gallery instance and reinstall fresh. This is the option we have elected and will be sure to stick with one authentication type. This is a better option for our company mainly because we're close to significantly scaling our Alteryx server (multiple nodes for additional workers, MondoDB replica sets, etc.), and in order to get the most out of the product, we absolutely need to do some house cleaning and have a solid, fully functional deployment.
I understand this may not be exactly what most of you want to hear if you're in the same boat, but it may be necessary. Once again, Alteryx warned us many times about changing auth types. If you're having scheduling issues and have not changed authentication types, I would suggest emailing support@alteryx.com. They have been beyond helpful and very prompt in their response.

Hi @rdoptis,
Ultimately this error is caused by a user having access to over 100 apps. This 100 count includes apps in your studio, shared through a collection or shared publicly. A possible workaround is to limit the amount of apps you have access to. This can be accomplished several ways:
1) Create a new studio and add yourself to it and the apps you want to schedule. This unfortunately limits the apps you have access to.
2) Create a new user and studio. Using collections, share the apps you want to schedule to this new user and have that user schedule the apps.
There are certainly other ways to limit app access, but these are probably the easiest in the short term. I understand these workarounds are not optimum.

@rdoptis (and others experiencing this issue) - I can confirm this issue was fixed in 11.5. Please feel free to pick up the latest version from http://downloads.alteryx.com/ and post any feedback/issues here, or email support@alteryx.com directly
Hi @Coxta45,
Has the curator of the Gallery enabled users to scheduler worklfows?

Thanks!

@BlytheE, yes we have. I also started getting this error today. I am a curator in the Gallery, have enabled the option that mentioned, and also am the author of this workflow...
"The current settings of this workflow prevent it from being scheduled"
- I have tried every combination of workflow settings, but it always reverts to "Safe" mode even after I select "Unrestricted"
Did you find out the cause of this issue? I have a handful of users with this problem but only on certain workflows.
Hey gerconn, unfortunately we have not figured it out. Alteryx support has been super helpful and thorough, but we had to move on for a hot minute and we haven't been able to figure out what the issue may be.
While I cannot offer a solution, we too are facing this same issue with our Alteryx Server (Version 11.0.6.28907). While working alongside support, it would be great to hear from the community if anyone has any ideas!
Best regards,
Ryan
Can someone from Alteryx support at least explain why this error would be displayed? If I can understand the logic as to why this error appears, then I may be able to pinpoint the issue.
We can no longer schedule from the Gallery due to this issue and the users are not impressed.
