We do our development of macros and workflows on a shared drive and when complete we move the workflows and macros to our Alteryx server. When we do this the connections to the macros from the workflows is lost even though we maintain the same relative folder paths in the server that we have on our shared drive. I am unable to set the workflow dependency for the macros the workflow is using.
Am i missing something?
it would seem if we could set relative paths to the macros everything would work but in advanced options i am not able to set the relative path to the macros.
One option is to save to the gallery and in doing so, CLICK on Workflow Options:
Manage workflow assets...
Check the box for the macros....
Done.
We have a similar process for macros and have not had a problem.
Here is what has worked for us:
1. Only use UNC paths.
2. Grant the server's service account access to the same folder.
3. Listen to @MarqueeCrew. He always has good advice :)
