Analytic App Runs perfectly within the designer, but publishing to gallery throws error

I have an app which gets the Gallery connection Alias as the input via text box. The app works perfectly fine in the designer with various gallery connection inputs, but when I publish it to the server and use the same inputs, it throws an error - "Unable to translate alias"
