2021.1 Alteryx Server Software: Python version

Our organization is looking to install 2021.1 server software. We're currently on 2020.3.

Has anyone experienced issues with Python on Alteryx Server Software 2021.1?

Hello @medm ,

  Thanks for posting and for trying to be cautious! One thing to be aware of is that in 20.4 we upgraded the embedded version of Python in Designer. That means that if you use any Python-based 3rd party tools or Alteryx connectors, after you upgrade from a pre-20.3 version to a post-20.4 version you will need to re-install the Connectors.

  In general when upgrading, especially if it's Server we recommend doing testing of your most key functionality before upgrading and verifying you have a full working backup. If you run into any issues with your upgrade please do not hesitate to contact Alteryx Support.
