Using the same license key on 2 machines

Hello,
I currently use the Alteryx designer at work, and I have installed the designer on my personal laptop for training purposes, however, the trial period ended.

Can I use the license key I have on my work laptop on my personal laptop at the same time?

Unfortunetly, we can not.

Licenses are based on a 1 user/ 1 machine basis as each license key is unique to a single activation. Licenses can be moved between machines, but doing so would unlicense the original machine until you reactivate the license key on that machine. 

I would recommend following up with your License Admin within your company to see if any additional seats are available for you.

Can we install a single Alteryx license on a work and personal computer, to allow us to work several days per week from home, without needing to bring the laptop home?

Yes. You would not be able to use the license simultaneously, however a single user can deactivate their license to move it to a different machine . You do have flexibility on which machine the license is activated on, and this can be moved around.
