I've went through with our Azure and SharePoint admins and they believe everything is setup fine but when I try and use the SharePoint tool to download a file I get an error - Request forbidden -- authorization will not help. Any ideas?
We have had similar issues, it's believed to be an IT permissions issue at our company. I'm following to see if anyone else has had better luck!
Is your SharePoint on premise or cloud?
You might need to be an editor of the SharePoint site. Just having access to it doesn't allow you to modify.
I think I fixed it - well on my local install anyway - I unchecked the Use as service principal (App-only authentication). This let me download an Excel file. I suspect I'm going to have issues when running this on the server under a schedule but will cross that bridge next!
