Data obfuscation in unstructured txt file

Hi all

I have following problem:

I have a large text file which contains log entries of  network devices. So there are no structured data with fields and rows. It is just text.

In this files are IP adresses in the format: 192.168.199.100

These must be replaced with *.*.*.*

+ the adresses can be in the following different formats:

1.1.1.1

10.10.10.10

100.100.100.100

or in any mix:

10.1.100.10

...

Is there a way to scan the whole file and replace these entries ?

Many thanks for any help

Steffen

yes

REGEX_Replace([Field1], "\d+\.\d+\.\d+\.\d+", '*.*.*.*')

Cheers,

Mark
