Workflow Publication Error

Hello all

I am using Alteryx Designer 2023.2. I have a large workflow with many excel files feeding into it.

File name ending can change based on the month etc therefore I am using asteryx( * ) at the end of the file name so workflow can pick up any new file without editing it.

When you execute the workflow on Alteryx Desktop, it can pick up the data and run smoothly. However in the input data configuration tool section 3 Table or Query part, if you click on three dots, it doesnot open the file because it cannot locate where to look. Even though it works well when you execute the workflow. 

Main problem starts at this point when Alteryx cannot open the file because of the ( * ) in the file name, also it cannot to publish workflow to server. However this worked in the past with exactly same way and i could publish workflows. Therefore I need a solution that works with the *.

Can anyone help with that?

Try removing * or changing the file name

That does not help. I know how to remove the * from the file name but i have to use * and as i said it worked fine before.
