Work flow slow processing after version update

Hi.

We have previous workflow which we use to validate data. After we updated version from 2019.4 to 2020.2 our previous workflow runs slower.

If we use the previous workflow in an Alteryx 2019.4 version, it runs perfectly fine.

What are the possible reasons?

Hello,

It's difficult to say what may be causing this, and would require additional investigation based on your particular workflow. You might want to narrow down where the potential issue lies by enabling performance profiling on your workflow using both versions of Designer and comparing. Note that this would be for debugging purposes only. If you have a paid license, I would recommend that you create a formal support case via support@alteryx.com

hey @gmpjsvarquez

What is contained in your workflow? What tools are used? Its hard to say what the issue could be.

as @Suskil stated, the performance profiling is a great shout, especially if you're able to run it on both 2019.4 and 2020.2 to quickly see the issue.

The only thing i can possibly think of, is that on the 2020.2 version, AMP is enabled on your workflow (https://help.alteryx.com/release-notes/designer/designer-20202-release-notes ), which may have been less refined in 2020.2

Hope this helps,
TheOC
