Text input tool cell character limit

Hi Alteryx Community 😀,

I was asked a question recently and wasn't able to find an answer so sharing it here to see if anyone has an answer to this 🙂

"What is the max character limit the Text input tool cell can take?"

There is no info on it in the help doc https://help.alteryx.com/20221/designer/text-input-tool . If there is any answer would love to hear from you people 🙂

Humm, i was able to test it with a cell of 32000 and it worked. Probably could go higher

Fould some people going above 10000 with the text box tool too (that i assume that is similar to the text input): https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Discussions/Text-Box-Interface-Tool-max-limit/td-p/397188

Hey @atcodedog05, I see the limit was bumped up to 10,000 characters back in 2020, see the implemented Idea ticket here. 🙂

Believe it or not, I ran a similar experiment yesterday. And I got the limit as 32767. I think it's the limit but I would love to be proved wrong. Experiment and let me know your findings 🙂
