Text box not updating

I am new to alteryx and tring to input using the text box, but values are not updating.

Your action tool is set up to use the text box to update the field name rather than the value.  You need to update it to this:

The values are updating in the output file but while i am trying to use in formula, it is not working

You won't see it happening within the app since the text box value is only updated when the app runs (using the magic wand to run it as an app).  Here's the output from a browse after the formula tool:

I tried using run as a anlytical app, it is not working for me, Tool is picking up default value

Since nothing happens with the data from the formula tool, where are you seeing that it isn't picking up the correct value?

See attached, this is your workflow with a browse added after the formula tool.  The app will show you the output from that browse, and you should be able to see that it is picking up the correct values.  It doesn't make a permanent change to the values in the workflow though, the default value remains as 1.
