Supported OS?

Hi Guys -

I'm wondering if there's an Alteryx solution for Chromebooks running Chrome OS? I think Alteryx is just on windows (correct me if wrong) but thought I'd just ask here and see if there's any potential solutions to run Alteryx on a chromebook.

Thanks

@AlterixNoob

Officially, it only supports Windows according to below.

Maybe you can install a VM in your ChromeBook?

Hi @Qiu

Thanks for the reply! Sorry if this is a stupid question but what's a VM?

Hello @AlterixNoob,

A virtualmachine basically a computer inside a computer. It would let you install an OS within a program (most popular around is virtualbox).

Here is a video with a good explanation:

Here is a guide to show you how to install Win 10 on a chromebook:

Note: This needs to be done at your own risk. What I am showing you are some basic guidlines and in no way I am saying that this specific guide will work on your machine. I would recommend you to do some investigation on your own to see if your computer would be able to support it with no problems.

Regards

Qiu
