Select tool error

Hi, i am doing data cleansing for a set of data. I used the select tool to change datatype and length of data. All of them are in one of these three data type (i.e. WString/ Date/ Fixed Decimal). However, I got an error shown "Invalid field scale:'2'; must be between 0 and 1. As my understanding, all of these three datatypes not having 1 as their maximum size. So would like to ask what may probably goes wrong?
