When changing the credentials for the SalesForce Input connector it appears all the subsequent selections (e.g. object and field selection) are lost. Is there a way to switch between salesforce environments that avoids this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
@Christoph_At_Work This may not be ideal but a workaround for now would be to update the XML directly after changing the credentials. For example, on a simple query using the query builder this is what it looks like in the XML view of the configuration panel of Designer:
You could essentially have that copied and saved somewhere and then just copy and paste it into the config once you authenticate.
Let me know if this helps!
Best,
Peter
Thanks @PeterA1. I can use that!
@Christoph_At_Work Following up on this, I found this KB which might help!
Hi @PeterA1 ,
I'm facing the same issue, however copy/pasting the XML is not an option for me. Any other ideas or solutions?
I wanted to check the link you posted above, but it seems I'm not authorised to access...
Yes! I would try the ODBC Driver which you can find at our download center: https://help.alteryx.com/20213/designer/salesforce
This is linked to from our help page for the Salesforce data connector: https://help.alteryx.com/20213/designer/salesforce
This would bypass the need to use the connector and utilize ODBC through the input tool. Let me know if this helps!
