Predictive Menu

The example workflow for Logistic Regression in the Predictive menu gets stuck at 20% and never finishes.  I tried other tools in the help menu and it seems like none of them finishes. I am wondering if I am missing a download or something. I am running Alteryx version 2023.1.1.247 Patch: 2 with Engine Version 2023.1.1.123

How big is your data? Usually, if you can access Logistic Regression it means you have already downloaded the necessary R Tool packages.

Check and see if you are running on AMP or not. It will also help if you can convert your input prior to your Logistic Regression into a .yxdb file type to make it faster. 

In addition, some times it gets stuck at 20% and loads like \ | / \ | / repeatedly. Give it some time. It can load for a few minutes.

I am running the file that is in the help menu. I let it run for an hour and it was still at 20%. I tried the other help menu items for predictive tools and they all get stuck. I think that it has to do with my installation. 

I checked and AMP is running.

 Yes that is the one.  I definitely think that it is the installation. Thanks for letting me know that yours runs so fast.

Wait - are you saying you only downloaded Alteryx Designer and NOT the R Toolpak? 

If so, kindly head over the Mission Control -> Alteryx Downloads -> Download Designer -> Download R Tools. 

Choose the version (admin / non-admin) similar to yours. Please make sure the version lines up with your designer version too. 

Admin = If an admin is needed to use their credentials to let you install. 

Non-admin = You can install as is without admin credentials.
