Password Protect Multiple Excel Output Workbooks

I've found several different Community threads about password protecting an Excel workbook on output. It seems they all redirect to a post that is no longer available.

Any ideas out there?

The first link redirects to Eric Moss' post. It looks like the second one does as well; however, there are some bits and pieces and I might be able to work through - just seems scattered.
