Output to Excel and keep worksheet's conditional formatting.

Hi all,

I've seen some older posts around this and the legacy excel connector but nothing more recent. Basically is it possible to do a 'data refresh' using Alteryx into a previously conditionally formatted excel spreadsheet and keep the formatting ?

Thanks

Hi @Q_Ball,

Thanks for your question! To keep formatting, you should output to a Named Range in Excel rather than overwriting an entire sheet. Depending on your version of Windows, you may or may not need the legacy Excel driver. Before you download the driver, try using just the regular Output data tool. When outputting to Excel, just put in the name of the named range instead of a sheet name. If this does not work, then please download the Legacy Excel driver and try again using that output file type.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any follow up questions!

Amelia

Thanks I'll try that.

Thanks that worked. I didn't have to download the legacy driver.
