Output only most recent date and price pair

Item records have two price fields  Price_1 on Date_1 and Price_2 on Date_2.  Price_2 and Date_2 may be null.  See Starting Data below.

 

I want to extract only the most recent date and price pair for a given item.  See Desired Output below.
