Output file delimiter

Hi all,

Have a question about output file tool and setting non-standard delimiters.

How do you set  as a delimiter in an output file?

I believe it is the End Of Transmission (EOT)  ASCII code 004, so as a regex character it is [\x04]. Below is what was attempted but it causes the whole Alteryx workflow to error.

Thanks in advance

Let me know whether this helps you.

Best regards

Thanks Phil,

Tried it:

but got an error saying it must be a single character:

any thoughts on how I get around the error?

It works, thankyou!

The issue was capital X vs small x:

Thanks Phil - you just made my life considerably easier!

@patrickfalconer

I think it was more of a back slash(\) forward slash(/) issue. Maybe

You are right, it now works for me with lower case x. Maybe something reset?

Regardless, thanks for the help and hopefully it will continue to work!

Best,

Patrick
