Multiple Date Formats in conjunction with DateTime Tool

I have ran across an issue as one of my columns has multiple date formats and i would need them all to be the same (dd-Mon-yyyy hh:mm:ss). I would belive a formula would need to be applied beforehand to the two original columns before the DateTime tool is applied. 

 

I need: 

1) Input and approving time columns to format the same for dates (possibly using a formula?)

2) apply the datetimeformat to all columns

3) Read the datetimediff formula for columns to tell me my difference in hours.
