MongoDB - limit columns to return

I am a complete newby, so forgive me if this is an easy question. I did a quick search but didn't see the answer.

I use the "MongoDB input" tool to connect to our mongo database. The collection I query has many columns of data, and I want to specify the columns to return. I use the Criteria section to filter the data e.g. {"Use":"External"}, but I want to query to return only e.g. Use, Users, Birthdate not the other columns.

One way is to import all the columns and "Select" the columns I need, but I rather not import the unneeded headers. Also I cannot see all the headers as there may be a limit on the number of headers returned.

Hi Alexander,

Try to set the mode to manual, click scan, and delete any columns you don't need.
