I wanted my workflow to automatically download/pull excel files from an external website on a daily basis as a macro. I tried doing some research on this but I can’t seem to find a suitable answer. Is it possible to enable a macro into a workflow given that I essentially want the workflow to ‘knock’ on the walls of an external site?

If not, is there an alternative method to this? Would I have to manually download the excel files from the external site daily and place them in an internal network/data source in order for it to work?

@asstampp It sounds like you're asking for an API call. An API call is one where you use the Download tool to access a URL, and depending on the information you have in the URL, the website will return data. If you have Alteryx Server, you can schedule the API call workflow to run daily to pull your data down.
