Is there a fast way to use the Auto Field tool result to put in Select tool?

Is there a fast way to use the Auto Field tool result to put in Select tool? to change the data type and size to improve performance instead of manually copy the result from the Auto Field tool to Select tool. 
I realized that the conversion process from Auto Field is slow.

I think this should work.

1. Add the Auto Field Tool → Select Tool.

2. In the Select Tool Configuration > Options > Save/Load > Save Field Configuration > Save the a yxft file.

3. Delete and connect around the Auto Field Tool

4. In the Select Tool Configuration > Options > Save/Load > Load Field Names & Types > Load the previously saved yxft file
