Hi everyone,
I am new to this application and community. I want some assistance with input data reading. I was trying to run an existing workflow to see what was done before. Then my workflow can not run or read the input data even though I have access to the data. The error I face says "unable to translate alias" and wants me to update the AMP.
So I wanted some assistance on how to go with this problem of input data reading is my updating AMP not going to affect the files and the data where it is saved and everything that was done before?

@Lejoy Could you please provide an example of the workflow with test input data and specify the version of the designer you are using?

I am sorry I had to cover the name of the file due to company restrictions. This is my attached workflow.

Unfortunately, the information displayed on your screen is insufficient for us to understand the issue. We need details about what you have added as an alias to the Input Data.
You may reach out to Customer Support, and they will assist you in creating a minimal workflow to reproduce the problem. Once a ticket is submitted, it will be escalated to us for further investigation.

Okay thank you. I wanted to ask if you receive this message while trying to run your workflow, refer to the screenshot attached. I wanted to know if I choose to update my AMP will it change the process or makes update to the existing workflow and change the existing methods or edits which were made before.

Hello @Lejoy, the message you see when you open the workflow doesn't have anything to do with the issue you mentioned in your previous post. You can think of it as a suggestion to update your workflow to run with AMP Engine (which can be done from the Runtime tab in the Configuration pane), which I would recommend to use with Engine Compatibility Mode also enabled to preserve the sorting order of your data.
Enabling AMP engine in this case however will likely make no difference in solving the issue you encounter. The error Unable to translate alias usually occurs when a database configuration was set up on another computer in which Alteryx Designer was used to import (and possibly export) data to a database, which requires the configuration of database connections. Please refer to this article for further troubleshooting, keeping in mind that this error could also be encountered for a variety of different issues which you can find by exploring the search results regarding the error Unable to translate alias linked here.
