Importing an .xlsm

Hello all,

I am receiving an issue in Designer Desktop where the Macro Enabled Workbook I'm looking to import won't read in any sheet names. When I drag the file onto the canvas, I'm given the error message "Sheet1 does not match a sheet or named range in xxxx.xlsm or the file is corrupted." but I am able to open the excel files without issue, hence they are not corrupted. Have any of you experienced this issue before? And, if so, how did you circumnavigate it?

I have attempted using Dynamic Input Tools as well to no avail, there is a screenshot of the error attached.

Thanks!

Hello,

Could you please confirm the name of the tab in the .xlsm file you are trying to input?

The input tool does support .xlsm, but the tab name in field 3 (Table or Query) needs to match the one in the file.

The issue is partly that the tab names in the file aren't populating in that window, Designer isn't recognizing that they even exist.

I see. That is unusual. If you import only the sheet names, is it able to read the sheet names correctly?

Also, I found a pretty old thread on this topic, but it might still be able to work:

The Results window and preview in the configuration window both read as blank unfortunately, thank you I will reference the article!

Sounds like something funky with the xlsm file. I had this happen once on a (thankfully) small file. What I did was opened a new blank xlsm, and then copied all the sheets over to the new workbook. Then exported the macros to and imported in the new workbook. Saved it as a new file and it worked for me. Maybe give that a try depending on file size?
