Hyperlink in Designer Not Opening Excel Files

I recently updated from Alteryx 2020.4 to 2022.1.  After updating the hyperlinks in the Designer will no longer open Excel files directly and I receive this pop-up.  I have Office Professional Plus 2016 licensed and installed on the same machine.

Any ideas on how to get this functionality working again would be much appreciated.

@arizzio ,  I can confirm that I have the same version of Designer and that this functionality works properly.

Have you applied the patch download since upgrading to 2022.1?

You can find the patch download in your license/downloads page.  see screenshot below.

Try this and see if the issue resolves itself: please mark this as the solution as well so that other's in the community can benefit from our collaboration.

Thanks.

@AndrewSu, Yes, the patch was installed right after we installed AlteryxInstaller64_2022.1.1.40869.exe.  This is the information on the about screen.

Has anyone had to reinstall the patch?  Is it is simple as running the patch executable again?

@arizzio ,  that is strange behavior... I have not yet encountered the need for anyone to REPATCH once they have patched.

At this point it seems like this is more of an isolated issue with your instance and may be a bug.

I suggest that you open a case with our support team to dive into this deeper.

You can submit a case at the link below.
