How to use LEFT with multiple condition

Hi All, I'm stuck on a formula using LEFT condition and needing some guidance. In excel I use this formula: =IF(LEN(X3)=6, LEFT(X3,3),LEFT(X3,4) and works great. I'm trying to convert this in Alteryx and I'm struggling.

I have the formula below and I'm just getting NULL value.

If the value = 6 then return the first 3 left if not, return the first 4 left.

Any suggestion is much appreciated. Thanks.

You must end the entire expression with ENDIF!
