How do you convert a v string to a decimal number?

I have a data field that shows a percentage as  7.5 as text. Is there a way to change this to .075?

Absolutely :-)

I've attached a workflow to show this - but in summary you use a formula to convert this back.

Have a look at the workflow and if you have any more questions, very happy to help (e.g. you may have % signs or other such funniness) - just pop some sample data onto the reply and we can crack through this quickly.
